A Cure for Wellness

Watch Mia talk about her character ‘Hannah’ in her upcoming movie, A Cure For Wellness

A Cure for Wellness

The first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski’s upcoming psychological horror film A Cure for Wellness has been released.

Dane DeHaan stars in the film as an ambitious young executive who is sent to pick his company’s CEO from an idyllic but mysterious “wellness centre” at a remote location in the Swiss Alps.

He soon realizes that the spa’s miraculous treatments are not what they seem, but when he is diagnosed with the same strange illness as the spa’s other guests his sanity and safety become threatened.
Gore Verbinski previously directed the horror film The Ring. A Cure for Wellness also stars Jason Isaacs and Mia Goth.
The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres February 17, 2017.

Shia LaBeouf admits getting married to Mia Goth is the best thing he’s ever done.

The 30-year-old actor – who tied the knot at a ceremony in Las Vegas last month – insists he has always been the kind of guy who likes to make a commitment.

Asked how married life is, he said: “I love it, man. That’s one that’s not been a f**k up, that’s been the best thing I ever did for myself.”I’m like a serial monogamist. I think it’s cause I’m deeply insecure. Once you get vulnerable with a person, that’s it. I’ve never been a one night stand guy.”

The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star certainly doesn’t regret his decision to get hitched because he knows Mia is the one for him.

Speaking to host Sway Calloway on his Sirius XM radio show, Sway in the Morning, he shared: “I think I was after something real substantial this time, I’m 30-years-old. And you know when you know.”

The couple tied the knot at the infamous Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel in the resort city at a ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator.

In a video posted online, he told the couple: “Mia and Shia, do you promise to adopt each other’s hound dogs? Not to wear your blue suede shoes in the rain? To always be each other’s teddy bear? “And to give each other a hunka hunka burning love? Promise? Alright, well by the power invested in me – The King – I now pronounce you to be man and wife. Now Sir, you may kiss your lovely bride.”

The pair first met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Volume II in 2012 and they have been dating on and off ever since. Speculation about their engagement was fuelled in March earlier this year when Mia appeared at Paris Fashion Week with a ring on her finger.

Last month, he revealed he was stunned to find his wedding had been live-streamed.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Shia revealed that the couple had bought a package where they had the option of live-streaming the wedding, but chose not to.

He said: “The plan was for it to be a private deal, aand part of the package, the King Tut package, you get a live stream for free – part of the deal. And I said, ‘You know we don’t really need that as a matter of fact. We’ll just take our private tape. We got our mums there and they said no problem.”

But Shia’s nuptials soon made headline news.

“We get back home and it’s like, woah hey listen, something changed! I call them up and they said somebody pressed the wrong button that sends the video to TMZ,” he explained.

“I said I understood. I checked with my girl and she said, ‘Hey what are you gonna do?’ And you know, it’s love. We’re proud of it. It was love.”

High Life

Sci-fi thriller “High Life,” starring Robert Pattinson, Patricia Arquette and Mia Goth, has received financing from Andrew Lauren Productions and is set to go into production in the spring of 2017.

The company announced at the American Film Market that it has partnered with Alcatraz Films, Pandora Film Produktion, the Apocalypse Films, and Madants to produce and finance “High Life,” the English-language debut of French filmmaker Claire Denis. The film is now fully financed with Wild Bunch handling international sales.

The film centers on convicts who trade in their jail time by agreeing to crew a dangerous mission to a black hole, set on an intergalactic ship.

Tilda Swinton has insisted her new Suspiria movie isn’t a “remake”, calling it a “cover” instead.

Swinton and Dakota Johnson are currently shooting the film with director Luca Guadagnino. He and Swinton have previously worked together on the movies I Am Love and A Bigger Splash.

Explaining how their new Suspiria compares to the 1977 original, an Italian horror film about a young ballerina who uncovers sinister secrets at a prestigious dance school, Swinton told Digital Spy: “It’s a cover. We’re not particularly keen on remakes. We made a film which people mistakenly called a remake of La Piscine, called A Bigger Splash.”

“Now the film is out people can see it’s not a remake, it’s a completely different film,” she added.

Swinton will play a senior teacher at the dance school, while Johnson portrays the young ballerina. Chloe Grace Moretz has also been cast in an unknown role.

“It’s a film that’s inspired by Suspiria that loves Dario Argento’s [original] film. That’s all I can promise you,” Swinton also said.

Swinton is currently appearing as the Ancient One in Doctor Strange, the new Marvel movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Read the NME review here. Suspiria is expected to be released at some point in 2017.

Movie News The Survivalist Video

Mia’s upcoming film, the post-apocalyptic thriller, The Survivalist finally gets a trailer! The film is in Cinemas & On Demand 12 February.

Brought to us by writer and director Stephen Fingleton, and stars Martin McCann as a man who lives alone in a small shack in the forests of Northern Ireland after the world as we know it today ceased to exist. The seclusion, lack of security, and inability to trust anyone in these times has clearly taken a toll on the man psychologically, but when a woman and her daughter (Olwen Fouéré and Mia Goth) show up one day, things change for the man that could ultimately threaten the small refuge he’s built over the years.

The prequel short was actually made as kind of a proof of concept project in order to secure funding for the feature film. As Fingleton explained on his website:

As part of the funding process from the BFI for getting support for THE SURVIVALIST, I was asked to make a ‘promo/trailer’ for the film. What I decided to do with my producers at The Fyzz was make a short prequel set in the world of the film. MAGPIE was the result.

It’s a great taster for the world we are going to create with THE SURVIVALIST. It stars the inimitable Martin McCann, Mia Goth and Olivia Williams. MAGPIE was produced by Wayne Marc Godfrefy and Robert Jones through their company The Fyzz Facility.
